Stopp received two D&AD nominations together with BBH and Sonny London for the digital work for Barnardos. Break the Cycle is nominated for individual ad and the whole campaign is nominated for Digital Campaign. That is just great.

The Lorens award (2009-02-04)

Stopp, in collaboration with the Gothenburg Film Festival, has institutedthe Lorens Award for Best Producer in the category Swedish Feature Films.The Lorens Award is named after the legendary Swedish film producerLorens Marmsted.The Jury's definition reads:”The 2009 Lorens price goes to a producer who has created and been a part of a platform that takes Swedish film to a new level”.The prize is awarded to Erik Hammendorf for the films ”De ofrivilliga” and ”En enastående studie i mänsklig förnedring”.The prize, as established by STOPP, consists of the free development of the winning producer's next film which is estimated at a value of 500 000 kronor. The winner will be chosen from a list of 2008 Swedish feature films.The Jury will be looking for ambitious producers with high economic and artistic vision.The jury consisted of: Tony Forsberg (Photographer), Petra Ahlin (Editor), Reza Parsa (director), Jesper Bergom-Larsson (producer), Ali Boriri (film lab director and filmmaker).

Stopp’s Digital Lab will provide our clients with the workflow for digital assets like RED cameras.We will give producers / directors / photographers the advises for the whole production, from camera choice to final product.The choices for the production have never been more complex than today, so we are pleased to announce our new services.Stopp Digital Lab will provide our clients with: * Workflow Supervision * On-Site Supervision * Data verification and Safety Archiving of the Data files. * Transcoding Camera files for Offline * Transcoding Camera files for Online / Telecine.The Digital workflow will be supervised by our experienced Colourist for the best quality surveillance.

Annika is back, with a baby. (2008-10-15)

After becoming a mother almost two years ago, Annika is now back in buisness and is hungry to grade again. Such a long maternity leave really made her eager to get back in the darkness of our suites again. Have a look at some stuff she did before giving birth to her son, Herman. If you want to book grading time with her in the traditional Spirit/DaVinci 2K+ suite don't hesitate to contact Stopp for scheduling. During Annika's absence Stopp has upgraded its tools by adding a DaVinci ResolveRT (DI grading) which Annika has learnt to master in the last weeks. She just finished a job for London based Sonny and BBH, in Resolve. The job consists in a series of films for Barnardos which are gonna be broadcast both on TV and on the web as banners and interactive videos. We will post the final result as soon as it's ready.

Stopp web production deliver Digital Solutions with a broad expertise in Web and Film/Motion Graphics. Assignments vary from Animated Films and Moving Graphics to Campaign Sites and integration of Commercials for the web. telecine/grading

Stopp's colorists work with some of the best international DOP's to produce innovative and compelling imagery and are always willing to go the extra mile to ensure the perfect result. Ranging from music videos and commercials to TV series and feature films, our colorists have worked on both domestic and international releases. Using the latest technology, Stopp can work directly from the negative, tape and file in either a linear or non-linear workflow. Pictures in 2k, HD, PAL and NTSC resolutions are the normal choice, but others can be easily accommodated. Grade 1 has Spirit with daVinci 2k Plus systems for traditional Film to TV linear working. Grade 2 is the latest disk based daVinci Resolve technology, offering the best possible non-linear flexibility and speed for grading Commercials and Long-form.

Stopp has Sweden's only 24/7 state of the art front end film lab, enabling you to get a professional service for your one lights and best light transfers. These can be done overnight ready for delivery the next day, ensuring the fastest possible turnaround with full attention to detail and quality. Dalies in both SD and HD is possible.

editing

We have the latest in Mac Avid and Final Cut Pro technology available, fitted with all the tools you will need to edit your commercials. Our two Avid suites are for dry hire. With our Off-line support staff taking care of your requirements during your time at Stopp. The Final Cut Pro Online room comes with Operator, ability to work full Broadcast quality at SD and up to HD 4:4:4 and 2k resolutions, with the usual suite of Apple software, including Shake SFX.

3D VFX

Stopp's vfx department strive to create stunning visuals, using a mix of the latest technology, many years of international experience and plenty of creativity. We deliver advanced effects, animations, simulations and photo-real elements, using techniques ranging from 3D, motion tracking, matte painting and photogrammetry which all ad up to the final product. We offer help with planning of complex visual effects shots, pre-visualization, concept art, design and set supervision, in order to reach the best result.

2D VFX

Stopp's vfx department strive to create stunning visuals, using a mix of technology, many years of international experience and plenty of creativity. We offer help with the planning of complex visual effects shots, pre-visualization, Concept Art and Design, Photoreal and stylized 3D animation, Advanced Compositing and Motion Design. Finally, delivering advanced effects, animations, simulations and photo-real elements,using techniques ranging from 3D, motion tracking, matte painting and photogrammetry (real object sensing) which all add up to the real thing. Running 3 rooms with Autodesk Flame or Flint/Smoke all on Linux systems.

Broadcast Master video tapes with sound, on Sony HDSR, Digital Betacam and Beta SP. Encoding any file format for Broadcast Tapeless Delivery; Web Review and Mobile Play. Including upto SD/HD: MPEG4; Quicktime H264; Windows Media and Flash codec types. DVD Authoring and Disk Encoding. All in HD, PAL and NTSC.

HD productions

Stopp is fully equipped for HDTV productions: Offline (Compressed); Online (Uncompressed); Traditional Video and Non-Linear Disk based Grading; Distribution of MPEG4, Quicktime H264 (and other) files. All at HDTV 1080i 25/30fps resolution.Our suites all have fully calibrated HD monitors for viewing confidence and smooth work flow.Kit includes: Flame HD; daVinci 2K Plus; daVinci Resolve (4K, 2K and HD); FinalCut Pro HD.VTR Recorders: 2 x HDCAM-SR; 1 x HDCAM.

Stopp Sound is located just around the corner from Stopp itself. Our sound facility contains two 5.1 equipped studios, built on a floating room construction for optimal acoustics.The sound department couples seasoned creativity with solid reliability. Between us we have over 60 sound years of commercial sound experience.Many of the industry's top directors have enjoyed our expertise in dialogue resurrection, realistic soundscape building or off world sound design, and we are constantly striving to add that little extra edge to every production - simple or complicated.
